Gregg Popovich on KP: “He’s got it all. He’s a good one”

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich spoke with reporters after their 117-110 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

“He’s a wonderful athlete,” says Popovich in regards to Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis. “Wonderful player. You know, smart. He’s got it all. He’s a good one.”

Popovich went on to elaborate on the Spurs’ loss and some things he feels need to be addressed.

“We’re doing two things consistently. We offer up 10 to 15 points per game to start and getting in a hole. And then we’re doing a great job of digging ourselves out and getting back in the games. You know, a lot of things can happen. Like, back to back we had that trip on the floor and we lost the ball. And then we got a rebound that slipped out of one of our guys’ hands and they laid it in. Things like that can happen. So, going down by a bundle, it’s always hard coming back. We seem to be doing both. So if we could cut out the former, maybe we can get back on the winning track.”
