The Big 3 made a stop in Dallas for the final game of the regular season and Fanatics View had the opportunity to speak with Hall of Famer Julius “Dr. J” Erving.

Dr.J touched on a variety of different topics about Luka Doncic being a top 10 NBA Player, Vince Carter announcing his retirement at the end of this upcoming season and what Porzingis will bring to the Mavericks this season.

” Luka is probably not top-ten yet. He has one year in the league and had a great year as a rookie and was phenomenal. Sometimes it could happen quickly for a guy years one through three more so in my estimation when a guy is in the league. His fourth and fifth year is when you really what you got. The fact that he started playing professionally at age 16 or 17 hasn’t hurt him so he might be an early bloomer than some of the guys, who go to the universities in the U.S. The one and done guys, but he had a great season, and he is a great replacement for Dirk,” Erving.

Erving played 11 seasons in the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers winning a championship during the 1982-83 season. He is also a 16-time All-Star, a 4 time MVP, and is a member of the 1993 Hall of Fame Class.
