Kelly Oubre Jr. talks Trae Young, LA Lakers Loss & Phoenix Suns Current Outlook
Kelly Oubre Jr. on Trae Young: “He’s the head of the snake”
Suns guard Kelly Oubre Jr. had a night to forget against the Los Angeles Lakers, and he’s already moved on to the next task.
“After a day like yesterday, you can’t wake up and have the same energy, man. It’s going to deplete you. So, it’s a new day. It’s a new opportunity to get better. That’s the way I’m looking at it.”
Oubre Jr. struggled in the 123-115 loss against the Lakers, going 0-5 from the floor and only scoring 1 point. Next up is the Atlanta Hawks, and he knows Trae Young and Co. won’t be an easy matchup. That’s where his focus already is.
“We’re on to Atlanta. Trae Young is playing really well right now, so we’re locked in on them.”
“He has a great talent,” says Oubre Jr. of Young, “He can shoot from anywhere. He has a great IQ. And he has pieces around him who can also help him be better.”
