Lonzo Ball Reacts to Guarding Luka Doncic, Nikola Vucevic “Will Be Just Fine” & Coby White Returning
Lonzo Ball got into specifics of the Bulls’ win over the Dallas Mavericks. He also shared his thoughts on the Bulls’ fast start to the season and where they go from here.
To start, Ball recapped the electric Zach Lavine 360 dunk that ignited the crowd at the end of the game. Ball made a pass fellow Chicago thrower Justin Fields would have been proud of. He credited Alex Caruso with starting the play by getting a steal. Ball knows plays like these get the building going. “At the end of the day it is just 2 points, but it sparks us on the court, sparks the fans, and energy in there is great,” he said.
When asked about defending Luka Doncic, Ball responded with an emphasis on making life hard on Luka. He wants to make his job tough and get into him as much as possible. Ball knows how dangerous a player like that is when given space.
Although he is proud of the team’s 8-3 record, he is not satisfied with it. He sees the group of guys gelling even more as the season goes on. Ball mentioned big man Nikola Vucevic as someone that will get more comfortable. He is also looking forward to the return of Coby White, who he has yet to play with. Lonzo applauded White for bringing good energy to the team off the court.
The offensive maestro for the Bulls is looking forward to the rest of the season. But for now, he and his teammates focus on getting better every day.
