Montrezl Harrell Confident in LA Clippers depth ahead of Road Trip
Montrezl Harrell on Clippers’ homestand: “We got a great group of guys”
Los Angeles Clippers forward Montrezl Harrell had a career night against the New Orleans Pelicans, scoring 34 points and 12 rebounds.
“I’m just really out there just having fun. Taking what the defense gives me. You know, a couple of moves I made tonight, I made them going left. Because down towards the other bench I heard the coach yelling ‘take away his right hand’. I feel like I got a step quicker on a couple of guys. So when I show that step to be like I’m going right, they gotta play it honestly.”
Harrell also touched on the Clips’ current homestand, where they have won all five of their games.
“We’ve got a great group of guys. A lot of different lineups we can throw out there on the floor. There is talent all across the board offensively and defensively. We’ve had some nail-biters in two big games that may be games of the year.”
“We’re a deep team, man,” adds Harrell. As you can see, any given night, anybody can have a big night. Any given night, three or four guys could go out for a big night. It’s a great thing to have. Definitely will help us coming down into the long stretch.”
The Clippers will now have their next nine of eleven games on the road. When asked if any adjustments will need to be made, Harrell states: “I think we’re going in with the same mindset that we had as we played during home games. We’re gonna take it on the road with us and we’re looking to go into each game and take it one game at a time”.
