Nassir Little reflects on his NBA Debut, Connection to Vince Carter, Damian Lillard and more
Little speaks on NBA debut, Vince Carter, Lillard, McCollum, Doncic, and Porzingis
Blazers rookie Nassir Little couldn’t phrase it any other way when reacting to his NBA debut. “I told my mom I wanted to cry. You dream your whole life about getting somewhere and then, you know, you’re out there and it’s exciting.”
Little added, “you’re watching guys that you’ve been seeing on TV for years firsthand, and then you’re on a team with them. It’s indescribable.”
Little also praised future Hall of Famer and Atlanta Hawks guard Vince Carter. Little attended Carter’s basketball camp when he was younger and explains how he will try to emulate Carter’s longevity.
“Any guy from Florida, man, you’re always rooting for them. It’s kind of crazy how our paths went. You know, kind of similar. Both from Central Florida. Went to UNC and then went to the NBA. So, that’s the guy I look up to. Try to kind of do things the way he did and the way he’s had a successful career.”
When asked about his thoughts on Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, Little says “those are really talented guys. Luka, especially him being so young. Extremely dynamic player. Porzingis, you know with the combination of his skill and size, they are pretty good guys to go against.”
Little also goes more into detail about having Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum as teammates in the video.
