Michael Blackson’s Roller Coaster View on Tom Brady
Comedian and actor Micheal Blackson calls quarterback Tom Brady the “greatest” quarterback and cheater.
In an interview with Fanatics View, Michael Blackson explained why he saw Tom Brady as a cheater and the greatest quarterback of all time.
Blackson is a Philadelphia Eagles fan so there is possibly some bias operating in his perspective, but he knew the New England quarterback was benefiting from his team was spying on opposing teams practices. When the Patriots franchise was caught, the whole situation was dubbed “Spy Gate.”
The comedian thought that Spy Gate was so heinous that, in his mind, the New England Patriots organization should be stripped of their 2005 Super Bowl XXXIX title. And of course, Blackson thought the championship should be assigned to the Eagles. In the comedians’ eyes, “they were all cheaters.”
The only thing that made Blackson change his mind about Brady was his performance in Super Bowl LI. The five-time champion maned a 25 point third quarter comeback to win in overtime against the Atlanta Falcons; Brady threw for more than 460 yards and completed more than 68 percent of his passes for the entire game. After being down 28-3, Brady went 26-33 for 284 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions.
The actor said his performance altered his view on the long time Patriots quarterback.
“He went from being a cheater to me to probably the greatest quarterback of all time,” said Blackson. “He’s still a cheater, but he’s the greatest at everything: greatest player, greatest cheater. He’s great at what he does.”
