Mike Tyson declares ‘he’s back’ in latest training video
Mike Tyson continued to tease a potential return to the ring.
“Iron” Mike Tyson has stirred awe all around in another training video released via Instagram. This came after a short clip where he hit the mitts with a ferocious five-punch combination the previous week. Showcasing the intensity and explosiveness that once made him known as “The Baddest Man on the Planet,” Tyson boldly declares “I’m back.”
The Hall of Famer aims to return to the ring in exhibition matches to raise money for charities. Though it’s uncertain when and against whom, there is visibly no shortage of hunger and determination in the 53-year-old Tyson. In a growing buzz surrounding his comeback, the former Undisputed heavyweight champion has certain sights set upon him already.
BKFC President David Feldman reportedly reached out to Tyson with a $20 million offer to bring him into a bare knuckle fight. Evander Holyfield, who holds two victories over Tyson; even told The Sun that he’d be open to a third fight in an exhibition match.
Tyson’s last professional fight came 15 years ago, a loss against Kevin McBride in 2005. He became the youngest world heavyweight champion in history at 20 years old after defeating Trevor Burbick for the WBC title in 1986. Tyson received his induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame on June 12, 2011.
