LSU quarterback Joe Burrow speaks on being undefeated and Ole Miss blowout.

There were many people who did not predict that this LSU squad would be were they currently stand 5-0 and now ranked No. 5 in the nation. Part of the reason could be for this game could credited to their starting quarterback, Joe Burrow.

There weren’t that many people that were up on squad or the coaching staff either, but that ranking has proved many of the Tigers doubters wrong. Burrow said that finds a “little bit” of satisfaction in proving doubters wrong, but finds more in just being 5-0.

The blowout against the Ole Miss Rebels showed the potential that this team has when everything is firing on all cylinders. LSU’s head football coach Ed Orgeron took it a step further, saying LSU  is “nowhere near its potential.”

The LSU quarterback played his best passing game all season long and completed more than 70 percent of his passes and lead the team in rushing yards with 96 yards. Burrow said he enjoys running the read option and I believe they should incorporate it more because it make the offense more dynamic; plus, it forces the opposing defenses to play more honest.

The Tigers will look to continue their winning streak against No. 22 Florida Gators on the road.
