LSU quarterback Joe Burrow speaks on winning at home and last regular season game.

LSU playing Rice was much needed. LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said the offense was able to find their identity against the Owls.

The LSU Tigers put up 42 points against Rice with 28 of them coming within the first half. Joe Burrow had on of his better games this season, all be it against Rice, throwing for more than 300 yards and two touchdowns.

The last time Burrow threw for more than two touchdowns in a game this season was in September against Louisiana Tech. LSU need to have explosive plays because they have exceptional athletes at wide receiver, but in recent games the chunk plays have not been there.

Playing against the the Texas A&M Aggies next week, the Tigers will need Burrow’s play against Rice to extend into next week. Though the Aggies are not currently ranked, they were ranked at No. 20 at one point and time this season.

Look to see the LSU Tigers to take some shots down the field early in this game and do not be surprised if they are successful.
