Michael Gallup makes beautiful leaping grab at Cowboys practice
Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver Michael Gallup rises over Chidobe Awuzie to come down with a spectacular catch in practice.
Get excited Cowboy fans. It may be early, but rookie wide receiver Michael Gallup seems to have what it takes to be a big part of the future for Dallas.
Gallup continues to show why the Cowboys used their third-round pick on him. At 6-foot-1, 210 lbs. Gallup possesses the size and strength to compete at the next level already.
On this play, Gallup used a combination of his size, soft hands and great leaping ability to come down with an excellent catch over Chidobe Awuzie in practice.
Along with his impressive catch, Gallup has already started making his mark this preseason, too. Gallup’s first reception in the NFL was a 30-yard touchdown grab against the San Francisco 49ers.
Gallup is only one of the two receivers on the Cowboys to find the end zone this preseason so far.
During his two years at Colorado State, Gallup recorded 176 receptions for 2,690 yards and 21 touchdowns.
With all that being said, and after the remodeling of the Cowboys’ wideout position this offseason, Dallas is still searching for a consistent No. 1 and more importantly their wide receiver of the future.
If Gallup continues to impress, he could very well be exactly what the doctor ordered for the Cowboys.
