Rico Gathers is quickly becoming one of the premier Tight Ends for the Dallas Cowboys in 2018. With the retirement of Jason Witten, Gathers has been given the opportunity of a lifetime. However, being a Tight End for the Cowboys is no easy role to fill. With one of the top running games in the league, the Tight End position is under a broader lens.

During this interview, Gathers talks about how Jason Witten retired, a lightbulb went off in his head. That is when he realized that now was his time to prove himself. Together with, with Zeke back in the backfield and Dak under center, Gathers probably has the most significant role in the offense. For years Jason Witten has been the glue for the Cowboys offense.
