Hall of Famer Randy Moss Speaks on fellow member Brian Urlacher.

Randy Moss said one of the reasons Brian Urlacher was so great was his transition from playing safety to playing linebacker. Moss said because of the transition “the game slowed down for him.” Moss said that because Urlacher was used to covering the fast, quick wide receivers it slowed down when he played in the front seven.

Urlacher played for the University of New Mexico and would eventually make his transition from safety to a linebacker. With his incredible size and speed, this benefited him at the second level and made the transition easy for him.

Urlacher played 13 seasons in the NFL all for the Chicago Bears. In those 13 seasons, he won defensive player of the year and attended eight pro bowls. Moss and Urlacher battled each other in the NFC North many times. Both player are first-ballot hall of famers.
