Odell Beckham Jr. shows his pinstripes during batting practice at Yankee Stadium

Playing wide receiver for the New York Giants in the NFL is no easy task. Being one of the elite wide outs in the league is impossible. Odell Beckham Jr. has accomplished both and now he may have baseball scouts breathing down his neck. On Friday, Beckham Jr. was invite to batting practice by the New York Yankees to show off some of his skills on the diamond.

Whenever Odell enters a room, all eyes find him and his bleached hair. That was no different when took swings in the cage in a historic ballpark. Odell was introduced to sluggers Aaron Judge and former MVP Giancarlo Stanton before he took the field. It appears that they gave him some advise before he took his swings.

Although, Beckham Jr. wasn’t lighting up statcast like Judge and Stanton, he was able to muscle a few out of the ballpark. Being a star in multiple sports is rare these days and while it is unlikely that the Yankees will pick up his contract. Entering his last year of his contract with the Giants Odell has an opportunity to be one of the highest paid player in the NFL.

Despite having quarterback questions Odell is set up for a record shattering season. Beckham Jr. is on pace to being one of the best receivers of all time and a personality to match. Hopefully he doesn’t fall in love with home runs so he can focus on finding the end zone on Sundays. New York finally has super stars in multiple sports and the Giants will do anything to keep Odell around.

Odell Beckham Jr. has a long football career ahead of him. Baseball probably won’t get in the way of it but it is always fun to see stars cross over.
