Blake Griffin speaks on Luka Doncic, Dirk Nowtizki, Carmelo Anthony & Reggie Jackson Photobomb
The Detroit Pistons were in town to take on the Dallas Mavericks, and they got a chance to see Luka Doncic up close for the first time.
Blake Griffin was the high man for the Pistons with 35 points. This was the sixth game in a row that Griffin eclipsed the 30 point mark.
After the game, Griffin addressed the media and shared his thought on rookie sensation Luka Doncic.
“He is great. He has great poise you tell he has been playing against grown men for a long time. The way he is so patient with the ball and his body control. He can score from three different levels, and he is a handful. It’s impressive,” said Griffin.
Dirk Nowitzki has not announced if this will be his last season or not, but the tribute videos that have been played here and there during home games seem like it might be his last. Griffin shared his thoughts on Dirk as an opponent and as a teammate.
“He is a legend at the power forward spot. I remember coming in the league and having to guard him. Taking things away from him his footwork and he wasn’t very explosive or the best athlete, but his length and footwork just his work ethic set him apart. All the power forwards that are up there I have a lot of respect for and he (Dirk) is not different,” said Griffin.
Griffin also spoke about Reggie Jackson’s photo bomb and if Carmelo’s game translates into today’s game.
