Watch as Utah Jazz’s Donovan Mitchell recaps loss against Mavericks.

“We just had a rough night”, Mitchell said on loss the Mavs. “For us to only lose that game by 8, it says a lot about the will.”

Mitchell gave credit to the Mavs and spoke on the Jazz’s “make or miss” night.

“Sometimes it’s not always gonna go in, there’s gonna be nights like this. They came out ready to go and came out locked in. Give them credit too, they came out, Finney-Smith had almost a career high tonight, I give him credit. He didn’t shoot it well the first two times we played him, but sometimes it’s just a make or miss league at times.”

In addition, Mitchell spoke on looking forward to high intensity play coming up against Phoenix.

“This night I dont think is going to deter us from what we’ve been doing or what we’ve been striving to do. We just got to be ready for the same energy, same intensity on both ends of the floor with Phoenix [Suns], and just be ready for that.”

Mitchell also talked about the difference maker in the loss vs Mavs.

“The difference was, he [Dorian Finney-Smith] had 23, he made shots. Jalen Brunson played phenomenal, obviously Luka’s gonna be Luka. That’s really a big thing – they were contesting. Rudy [Gobert] was there contesting, and sometimes they just make shots.”
