“I mean, he’s Kevin Durant,” Beverley said. “We didn’t roll over. We didn’t just say come on and give us 50 tonight, of course not. He’s a hell of a player. The shots he took… ya know, he made some tough shots.”

Durant finished the series averaging 35 points per game,t and he Slim Reaper averaged 41.5 PPG following game two, where he shot only eight times.

“He came out that game and said he can shoot over those guys, and he did it,” Williams said. “It wasn’t lack of effort on our part. He’s an all-world professional.”

The Warriors move on to the second round of the NBA Playoffs, where they’ll face off against the Houston Rockets on Sunday, a team that took them to seven games in last year’s playoffs.
