UFC lightweight fighter James “The Texecutioner” Vick says he would easily beat Conor McGregor.

During an interview with your truly, Fanatics View, James Vick was asked for his thoughts on Conor McGregor and Vick appreciated all that the infamous McGregor has done for the UFC inside and outside of the octagon.

“I, personally, think he is phenomenal for our sport,” Vick said. “He has brought attention and media coverage for our sport that we wouldn’t get from other avenues, you know.”

But, if Vick got a chance to fight the Irish legend, he thinks he “would beat the brakes off” McGregor. Vicks did make a vaild point, though. The Texecutioner is six inches taller than the champ and has a five inch reach advantage, which would allow for a different set of movements. We have seen how much more difficult it is for McGregor to fight opponents who are significantly taller than him.

His fight with Nate Diaz was one that proved to push McGregor to new limits, as he had to modify his strategy throughout the fight to Diaz’s length in the second fight. McGregor lost the first bout to Diaz, but came back for redemption in the second fight.

A fight between Vick and McGregor would be interesting, but will not be happening anytime soon because of McGregor’s upcoming battle with Khabib Nurmagomedov. The battle between these two is set for October 6 in Las Vegas, Nevada. And, according to MMA analyst Robin Black, if McGregor loses, he is going to retire.

Either way, Vick has to wait his turn before he gets a chance to fight the notorious McGregor.
