Fanatics View Exclusive: Rematch between Nick Diaz & Anderson Silva is in the making for early 2019
An exclusive Fanatics View source has revealed that a rematch between Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz is in the works.
The two last faced off at UFC 183 in 2015. Diaz and Silva went toe-to-toe for five rounds, and the main event fight ended in a overturned no-contest.
The two camps are in talks for a fight that will take place in early 2019. Diaz has not fought in the octagon since the 2015 battle, but with his pedigree it is assumed the 35-year-old will be ready to fight. Silva on the other hand last fought in 2017 against Derek Brunson winning by way of unanimous decision. The 43-year-old still seems to be in phenomenal shape, and has been turning back the hands of time.
If and when this mega fight is official the fighting world will be buzzing, because these are two of the sports all-time greats. Expect a ruthless and entertaining fight. Each fighter brings it every fight, and never lets the fans down. The rebellious Diaz is a great striker and savvy all-around, and Silva didn’t earn the title of greatest of all-time for nothing. This fight has the potential to be remembered as one of the UFC’s greatest fights and it will do nothing but add on to each fighter’s historical legacies.
