Joe Burrow on LSU’s Win vs. the Florida Gators, LSU Being “Special” & Not Being Complacent
Quarterback Joe Burrow speaks on LSU performance at home.
After coming off a blowout win vs. Utah State, in which LSU quarterback Joe Burrow had arguably his best game in his collegiate career, Burrow returned home to continue more of the same.
LSU’s offense had a slow start against the winless Demons in the first quarter on both sides of the ball, as LSU’s new high-flying offense only managed three points in the first quarter. The Tigers came into this game averaging 12 points in the first quarter; Northwestern State lead 7-3 going into the second quarter.
LSU won the second half 21-7, thanks to a balance passing and running attack from Burrow and Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
LSU yet again has shown that their new high-flying offense is one to be reckoned with but Joe Burrow is remaining humble: “Obviously, we’re going to enjoy this win. It’s a big win for us. We just can’t get complacent. We have so much more room to improve, so much more to accomplish, and I think we can really get there.”
