Harrison Barnes talks about his return to Dallas
Harrison Barnes returned to Dallas for the first time since his trade to the Sacramento Kings on February 6.
Barnes came back to Dallas after three seasons with the Mavericks. He was introduced with cheers from fans and a tribute video.
“It was a lot of love, getting that tribute video,” Barnes said. “It was good to come back and get a win.”
This is most likely the last time that Barnes and Dirk Nowitzki will get to play on the court together. Barnes heaped praise on Nowitzki’s career on and off the court.
“His work ethic is legendary,” Barnes said. “He’s done a lot of stuff on the court. I think people acknowledge that, but what he did off the court as well, just with him always giving back and thinking about others.”
Barnes later spoke about the future of this King’s roster.
“We’re looking at next year,” Barnes said. “There’s so much potential between him (De’Aaron Fox), Marvin, Harry, Buddy, Bogey, I mean, guys are just starting to scratch the surface.
