Artem Lobov on Conor McGregor UFC return: ‘Give him what he deserves.’
Artem Lobov is confident that Conor McGregor will make his return to the UFC soon.
Artem Lobov says Conor McGregor (21-4) is in good shape, and preparing to get back into the octagon. The two-division UFC champion last fought at UFC 229 in October, where he lost to lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov (27-0).
“The Notorious'” will return to action once he can reach an agreement with the UFC.
“They need to give him (McGregor) what he deserves, and let’s enjoy his great fights,” said Lobov. “Everyone loves his fights for a reason. They’re exciting, you don’t know what’s gonna happen. You’re holding your breath. It’s just great to watch, and that’s what we all wanna see.”
In March, McGregor was in talks for his next fight, possibly against Donald Cerrone (36-11). That fell apart as Dana White was eying the bout as a co-main event. McGregor was reportedly unwilling to fight if he wasn’t on the main event.
“I don’t think Conor minds as long as you give him his worth,” said Lobov. “Give him his shares. And then he’s happy to promote the company and build it even bigger, even beyond the $4.2 billion that he already have built. So why not, give him what he deserves; and let’s enjoy the show.”
