Gerrit Cole Explains Shohei Ohtani “Magical” Greatness & Ohtani “Wonderful for The Game”
Watch as Yanks ace Gerrit Cole praises Shohei Ohtani at the all-star game in Colorado.
Cole spoke about Ohtani’s ability to perfect his game by being a two-way player in the MLB.
“I would venture to guess he’s probably learning aspects of his craft, both on the mound and in the batter’s box, and using them together to his advantage.”
“I think it’s great, I think it’s magical”, Cole said on Ohtani becoming the face of baseball.
“I’m really glad that he’s been able to stay healthy. I hope he continues on this path for the rest of his career. He’s such a pleasure to watch, he’s really humble, and he’s obviously something I’ve never seen before.”
In addition, Cole explained how extraordinary of an athlete Ohtani has shown to be in his young MLB career.
“At any given time, he most likely has the most power, the most velocity, the most speed on the field. To have all those attributes, in one player and then the personality to go with, it’s so good for the game and inspiring to watch.”
