Elvis Andrus spoke to Fanatics View on Saturday about Joey Gallo’s improvement following the Rangers 9-4 victory over the Houston Astros.
“He’s growing as a player,” Andrus said. “He doesn’t have to be the guy who just hits homers. He can get on base.”
Gallo led the Rangers to the first of two victories against the Astros in this weekend’s series by going 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and a home run on Saturday.
“He’s a game-changer,” Andrus said. “He has that talent. The guy can carry the team, and he’s proven that before.”
Gallo had a hot series against the Astros this weekend, going 6-for-11 with 7 RBI’s.
