DeAndre Jordan on Trae Young & Luka Doncic: “I’m Sure They’ll Be All-Stars at Some Point”
DeAndre Jordan on Trae Young: “He’s leading the team very well over there”
Brooklyn Nets center DeAndre Jordan spoke with reporters after the team’s 130-118 victory over the Atlanta Hawks and began things off by giving his thoughts on Hawks’ point guard Trae Young’s growth in his second year in the league.
“Trae is a great scorer. He’s leading the team very well over there. I just think he’s taking what the defense gives him. He’s not looking for threes. I think that he’s really found his niche. He probes and really takes what the guys give him.”
Jordan also spoke on Mavs sensation, Luka Doncic, whom he played with last year before being traded to the New York Knicks.
“I love Luka. Luka is great. He’s a big guard who can score on all three levels of the basketball court. He’s a hell of a passer and I had an opportunity to play with him last year which was great.”
“I think both of those guys are great,” says Jordan of Doncic and Young. “They’re going to be great future players and I’m sure they’ll be All-Stars at some point.”
When asked about Hawks’ veteran Vince Carter and his favorite memory of him, Jordan replies: “I mean any dunks that he’s had. He’s been a human highlight reel his entire career.”
