Devin Harris talks about Dirk Nowitzki’s last game and the Mavericks’ future
Devin Harris spoke with the media at the Dallas Mavericks team exit interviews
Harris spoke about the emotions surrounding Dirk Nowitzki’s final game.
“It was kinda surreal, watching him put the jersey on for the last time and take it off for the last time,” Harris said. “I think everyone felt it.”
Nowitzki finished the game with 20 points and 10 rebounds, his only double-double of the season.
Harris also spoke about the potential of this Mavericks’ roster.
“We’re a very young team, have a lot of corner pieces,” Harris said. “I think we’re kind of on that cusp of getting back to the playoffs.”
Harris said that the young team looks good on paper but they will have to put in the work and establish a rapport on the court.
The Mavericks have young studs Luka doncic, Jalen Brunson and Tim Hardaway locked into a contract for the foreseeable future, but Kristaps Porzingis, Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber will all hit free agency this summer.
