Two-time NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard went head to head with rising star Luka Doncic and came away impressed. “We just wanted to make it hard for him, showing hands, stopping him from getting to his spots, but he’s great.”

Nevertheless, the Claw definitely welcomes all competition. Saying “everytime you play a great player, it’s always fun. It pushes you to play harder, or just be locked in the whole game. I just wanted to win”.

“When I can give it Lou and Trez down the stretch that means alot”, Kawhi cited the Clippers massive advantage in contributions from the bench. Although Paul George remained out for this contest, Doc Rivers can look for leadership from a number of other veteran players. In addition, with Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell, the Clippers have premiere players on their second unit. The team boast’s four legitimate scoring threats.

On the Clippers winning eight of their last ten games Kawhi cited the whole team playing hard and watching film together. “Just trying to fix mistakes. Everybody giving their mind and body, trying to compete, make better plays, and be a winning basketball team.”

Kawhi also cited just how much he loved playing in his hometown of Los Angeles. “It’s good for me to be able to know that family’s able to see me in person playing games, and sometimes after games.”
