Watch as NBA Legend LeBron James recaptures his first moments on the court with the late legend Kobe Bryant.

“I was just in awe”, James told media. “He was a guy, who with a lot of other guys, were taped on my wall when I lived in Spring Hill. He had a nice collage on my wall. He’s a guy who decided to make a jump from highschool to the NBA. I was thinking about doing that at one point in my junior year, and really stopped thinking about it. When Kobe had done it, he was someone I could hopefully learn from one day.”

“To be able to share the floor with him, for any kid that has inspiring moments from someone, it was just a sense of awe. The grace that he played the game with, the passion that he played the game with. The determination to just go out and dominate you, was just something that I loved, something that I could pick up from that.”

James went on to charish Kobe’s mindset and the incredible feeling of being on the court with him.  “He’s not on the floor to talk to anybody, he’s out there to kill you. He’s out there to de-throne you, he’s out there to really strangle-hold you. It was just an awe moment. It’s something I will never ever forget – to be able to grace the floor with someone that played the game with so much grace.”
