Boxing out for a rebound is one of the game’s most fundamental cornerstones if you’re a big man. So when Kings’ spindly point guard De’Aron Fox sprung over Miami’s defenders for a powerful two-handed put-back to give Sacramento the lead with 3 seconds left, it was easy to understand why those sporting Heat jerseys were left with their jaws on the floor.

Although Fox scored an inefficient 14 points, his clutch play at the end of game certainly made up for his overall subpar performance. Fox had been cold from the field and the Kings were down 12 points heading into the fourth quarter, but he quickly became the hero as his game-winning dunk gave Sacramento the edge 89-88 and capped the 17-4 run that led them to victory.

At 4-26 all-time, the Kings have been historically terrible in South Beach. The win was Sacramento’s first in Miami since 2001, but with several young and improving competitors on their roster, the Kings have reason to hope to close the gap between themselves and the Heat at the American Airlines Arena.

Miami added another incredibly winnable game to their loss column, but they took a major win with the new Vice Uniforms that they unveiled Thursday night. The new threads added some color and pop while perfectly incapsulating the thrill of nightlife in lively city they play in. If you enjoyed the new jerseys, you’re in for some luck. The Heat will wear these special city edition uniforms 14 more times this season, so you’ll have plenty of time to take in the beauty and simplicity that Nike crafted into every stitch.
