Kristaps Porzingis Reveals Conversation He Had With Rick Carlisle About Managing His Minutes
Kristaps Porzingis spoke to media following Mavs win against Atlanta Hawks.
Porzingis talked about his performance during the match-up against Atlanta.
“Today I got myself in a decent rythm in several moments and my teammates found me. Wasn’t shooting the ball great from the outside, but hit a more important 3 at the end. In the end, we were able to get the win, and I’m happy about that”, he finished.
In addition, Porzingis spoke on decreased playing time since coming back from Injury.
“As I told coach, I felt the best in the bubble we were playing. I was playing that whole first whole quarter and then coming out. It’s just better to get in a rythm, especially me coming back from injury. It’s hard to get yourself in a rythm playing 4 minutes here, 5 minutes here, and a minute at the end of the quarter, it’s tough. I wouldn’t be telling you guys this if I wasn’t communicating this stuff to the coach. It’s out there, and we’re still in communication. I know everybody around me is trying to do the thing that’s best for me and keep me on the court. In the end, I’m a player, and I just wanna be out there 48 minutes if I can”, he finished.
