Luka Doncic & Rick Carlisle Review Loss vs. Blazers, Luka’s Passes & Kristaps Porzingis Play
Watch as Luka and Rick Carlisle speak to media following tough loss to Portland.
Luka gave his thoughts on Kristaps Porzingis’ performance.
“Everybody can have a bad game. We’re not perfect in life, everyday. We got to find him more on the post and we just got to get to work on the post.”
Luka also talked about his trademark behind-the-back passes.
“Honestly, I don’t know. I think trust my teammates to be on the spot. It was 50 percent my job, and 50 percent their job.”
Coach Rick Carlisle gave his review of the Dallas loss.
“We got off to a poor start. You know defensively giving up 37 in the first quarter is too many. Did better in the 2nd, had a good third in terms of the point differential. And then the fourth, down the stretch we were unable to get the ball to the basket. They made plays offensively and they made shots. That’s where it got away from us. We’re gonna have to be better on the boards, better on turnovers, and we’re gonna have to play better, overall.”
Carlisle expressed the difference maker in the loss.
“It’s a big difference maker when you don’t come up with those. I don’t know exactly how many there were but there were too many. At that point we had gotten in a situation where there was a deficit and we were needed to pitch a shutout. We’re doing a good job in getting some good stops defensively, but the inability to clean the boards was a big problem.”
