Nets’ Ed Davis on loss to Mavericks: ‘They just had it more tonight.’
Ed Davis talks about the Nets’ loss to the Mavericks and credits their victory.
The Nets played hard but lost a close game to the Mavericks by 119-113. Ed Davis did his part with 17 points and nine rebounds, and credits the Mavericks on a good game.
“I just tried to come in with energy,” said Davis. “And try to help the team, and you know, just pick up and you know; try to do some of the things that they (the Mavericks) do out there. They hit a lot of tough shots, a lot of tough twos.”
Davis also noted that good performances by Harrison Barnes, Luka Doncic, Devin Harris, and J.J. Barea were the key. Barnes carried the Mavericks with a season-high 28 points. Doncic, who is in his rookie year; followed with 21 points and nine rebounds. Harris and Barrea contributed with 18 points each, along with Barrea’s seven assists.
“They just made plays, and you know; they just beat us tonight,” said Davis. “You know, we fought hard, you know we played and they just had it more tonight.”
