Rick Carlisle speaks on the Portland Trail Blazers’ late game challenge, the Mavericks’ loss and improving from the Free Throw line
Carlisle frustrated after a close loss against Portland, says “We’re a team that’s got things to work on”
Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle spoke with the media after the 121-119 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers and was visibly upset at how his team finished the contest. “As the game went on, they became more consistent and we were just a little too volatile.”
“Look, we scored 119 points,” Carlisle added. “I mean, the problems for us were mostly defensive.”
Carlisle was also aware of the team’s struggle at the charity strike. Dallas shot 78% from the free-throw line, going 32 of 41 for the night.
“That’s another area where we’re gonna continue to get better.”
