Steve Kerr sees a bit of Larry Bird and James Harden in Luka Doncic & Says “flush Mavs Game “down the toilet!
Steve Kerr on Doncic: “He was fantastic. Right from the beginning of the game”
The Golden State Warriors have faced a difficult season so far, grooming rookies and dealing with injuries to their star players. They suffered their worst loss in the Steve Kerr era by a whopping 48 points to the Dallas Mavericks and Kerr is more than ready to move on from it.
“Flush it down the toilet. Literally, you move on.” said Kerr of the loss. “You don’t take anything from a game like this. These guys have been working really hard and they’ve made a lot of improvements in the last couple of weeks. We move on from here and we’re not going to be watching tape of this one.”
On what Kerr thinks of Luka Doncic: “I think he and James Harden have a similar type of game for the modern game. The stepback threes. The passing ability. So I think he’s a little bit like Harden. He’s got a little bit of Larry Bird, you know, with the ability to see the game a step ahead. But a very different game these days. Bird wasn’t shooting stepback threes like that off the dribble. So he’s a unique player to himself.”
Very strong praise from Kerr on the young phenom.
