Trae Young on loss: “I feel like I let my team down tonight”

The Atlanta Hawks (6-20) dropped one to the Indiana Pacers (17-9) by a score of 110-100. Hawks guard Trae Young, who doesn’t mince words when it comes to his own self-criticism, spoke with reporters after the game.

“I was getting good looks,” Young begins. “I was getting wide-open looks and I was missing. Sometimes, it’s like that. It sucks. Tonight, I felt like I let my team down because we all fought so hard back in the game. And for me, trying to be one of the closers, I got to be better. I was getting wide-open looks and missing. I feel like I let my team down tonight.”

Young finished with 23 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds but was 9 of 30 from the floor and 3 for 10 from deep.
