Patrick Mahomes Details If He Could’ve Been an MLB Player Over an NFL Quarterback
Watch as Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes speaks to media prior to Super Bowl 55 vs. Buccaneers.
Mahomes spoke on his baseball career prior to getting drafted by the Chiefs.
“I feel like I had topped out in baseball. I feel like I don’t know how much better I could’ve gotten, and I know when I went back to try to play baseball my freshman year in college I wasn’t the same player as I was my senior year of highschool. So, I don’t know if would’ve made it, I would’ve tried and worked my tail off to try to get there, but I’m definitely glad I chose football.”
Mahomes also spoke on traveling to Tampa for the first time.
“I don’t think I’ve been to Tampa. I could have when I was younger. My dad was playing spring training baseball and kinda everywhere. I know the Yankees are down there, but he was never there. He bounced around so maybe I’ve kind of been there, but other than that I don’t think I’ve ever actually been to Tampa, Florida.”
