Luka Doncic is by far one of the most talented rookies the Dallas Mavericks have ever drafted, but he has to produce to make the pick worth it. All signs are showing that he will thrive with the Mavs. He has arguably the greatest international player to step foot on an NBA court as a mentor in Dirk Nowitzki.

If Doncic can take Nowitzki’s advice and live up to the expectations he can be successful for years to come. Dirk said that Doncic should have a smoother transition into the NBA than he did and if that’s the case the Mavs could have the steal of the 2018 draft.
