Future Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat were recently in Dallas to take on the Dallas Mavericks, as Wade’s farewell tour stops in a city that has so much history to the three-time champion.

In 2006, Wade and the Heat won their first NBA Championship in franchise history, but it did not come without controversy. The Dallas fans have not forgotten it either, as every chance they get they will tell you about all the free throws that Wade had in Game 4 and 5 in the 2006 Finals.

During pre-game warmups, Wade even reenacted his celebration as the final seconds counted down in the 2006 NBA finals. After his pre-game warmup, Wade addressed the media on a variety of topics, which include Mavericks rookie sensation Luka Doncic.

“Hell of a player, hell of a young player. It seems like he has been here before already. He is very seasoned, and I think the Dallas Mavericks fans and fans around the world should be excited about what he can do for the next 20 years,” said Wade.

Wade also, talked about the story where he decided to take a backseat to Lebron James after losing the 2011 NBA Finals to the Mavericks. “If we don’t lose that final, me and Bron still going and fighting it out to see who is the best. I took a step back and let him take over an organization that I would call mine before that. It changed my mindset after losing because that is why we did not come together and once that happened it opened my eyes,” said Wade.

Wade touched on his battles over the years with Dirk, being an NBA All-Star & NBA Ownership.
