Dennis Smith Jr. just won’t stop dunking. He’s dazzled us with explosive jams all year and it’s no wonder the NBA has reportedly invited the acrobatic point guard to participate in the 2018 Verizon Slam Dunk Contest.
Unfortunately, while the young guard can’t stop posterizing helpless defenders, the Mavericks can’t stop losing. Since the new year began, Dallas has dropped down to the bottom of the Western Conference and have now lost 11 of their last 14 games.
Not all is as bad as it seems for the hapless Mavericks. DSJ looks like a star in the making and with any luck in the lottery, they’ll be headed for a top three pick in an incredibly deep and talented 2018 NBA draft class.
