Watch as Mavericks’ Luka Doncic speaks on being named 2021 All-Star Game starter.

Luka spoke on his 3 year career in the NBA and his greatest accomplishments.

“Just playing in the NBA for me is the biggest accomplishment for me. Every kid that plays basketball dreams of being able to play in the NBA. I think that’s my biggest accomplishment”, he finished.

In addition, Luka spoke on getting the starting nod after winning tiebreaker vote to overtake Damian Lillard.

“I was surprised I was starting to be honest”, he said. “I didn’t expect I was going to start this game. I know Lillard maybe deserved it more than me. At the end of the day in 2 years, you was an all-star, not a starter, not a non-starter. In a couple years, nobody’s gonna know who started the game, all they gonna know is you were an all-star.”

Luka went on to speak about his influence to kids aspiring to make it to the NBA.

“It’s a great honor for me that some kids look up to me. Hopefully I have a lot of time to go and keep improving myself. As I always say, you gotta enjoy the game and you gotta have fun with it. The working hard is gonna bring you to the next level”, he finished.
