Aaron Judge Responds to Houston Astros Skipping MLB All-Star Game & Trolling from Astros Series
Watch as Yanks slugger Aaron Judge reacts to Houston Astros skipping the 2021 All-Star game.
On Saturday, Houston’s Michael Brantley & Ryan Pressly announced they would be skipping the 2021 All-Star game. Yankee’s Aaron Judge spoke to media prior to the exhibition game that won’t include any Houston representation.
“That’s their choice”, Judge said on Astros opting out. “I think they made the best decision for themselves, their families, and personal reasons.”
Following the infamous sign-stealing scandal, Judge hinted at fan reactions playing a part in Astros’ no-show.
“You said it not me”, Judge responded to the question on potential boos at the All-Star game. “I’m not in their shoes, I don’t know what they would go through or what they would hear. I think the fans still have their opinions.”
In addition, Judge reacted to the Astros-Yankees rivalry becoming as big as Boston’s.
“We have a past of playing each other in big games in the postseason. You’re gonna have that type of energy. The Red Sox series still, I feel like those are our rivals. Especially playing them in the division and seeing them so much. I think that’s really our true rivals. But, It’s been a fun series over the years playing against Houston.”
