Kristaps Porzingis spoke to media following Mavericks win against Spurs.

Porzingis spoke on his improving health and recovery after surgery.

“I feel like I’m getting there”, Porzingis said. “I still have to keep working at it. After the surgery, the leg is not feeling the same, so you have to keep working on the strength and make sure that is strong and stable and you feel confident. It is nonstop work. I am feeling better with each day and with each game. I am putting in the work and that just gives me the confidence that I can go out there and play freely. I am looking forward to the second part of the season”, he finished.

“I think I had a pretty good game overall”, Porzingis said on his performance against Spurs. “Maybe practice was the best thing. Early on I wasn’t really getting some good looks that I would have liked but I stuck with it and at the end my teammates found me.”

Porzingis also spoke on his success facing different sized opponents.

“Each game is different and each team plays me differently. Sometimes I have a guard on me from the beginning of the game, and that is when I try to utilize my height and my length inside the paint or to create for my teammates. We want to keep playing basketball, we don’t want to stop too much and not look for the post up. I personally prefer to play against bigger guys. They give me more space and that way I can have more space from the outside, and when they do switch, that is when I can utilize my length on the inside. It’s really kind of mixing it up and taking what the defense gives me. I am learning each game and I am going to keep it that way.”
